Arranging a session
I offer short and long term counselling sessions. Short term can be from a minimum of 9 sessions upwards, and long term can be for several months or longer. Sessions last 60 minutes. In order for counselling to be effective and therapeutic, you do need to be comfortable with your counsellor. Therefore our first session is an assessment for both of us to see if we can work together – whether I am the right cousellor for you and whether I am able to work with you. I may suggest referring you to another colleague or organisation.
Once we agree to meet it is important that we meet regularly and that you attend and complete the sessions. If you do not contact me and miss two sessions in a row I will not be able to keep your space available to you. If you feel that you want to end the sessions early, I suggest that we meet for at least two sessions to work through the ending process and review the work completed.
My fee is £50 for one 60-minute session for individuals and £75 for couples, paid at the beginning of each session either by cash, personal cheque or internet banking (including Paypal).

Location
Currently I offer private practice from my home, which is in a quiet neighbourhood in Saltdean, to the east of Brighton. There is a nearby bus stop, street parking and the chance to have a reflective walk either on the seafront or the nearby South Downs before or after a session. Because my practice is in my home, please can you arrive at the agreed time, as I will not be able to greet you beforehand.
