About Me

I am a professionally qualified counsellor and therapist, trained at the Gestalt Centre in London. My whole career has been dedicated to supporting people through times of crisis, change and personal development.

Alongside my counselling practice, I worked for over forty years as a social worker specialising in mental health and crisis work within the NHS and Local Authorities. I have extensive experience supporting people with depression, trauma, loss and bereavement, and I have also worked as a counsellor in a GP surgery. I have particular interests in self‑esteem, anxiety, sexuality and gender, relationship difficulties and personal growth.

I remain committed to ongoing vocational, professional and academic development. Personally and professionally, I have spent many years exploring my own experiences of anxiety and low self‑esteem. I have taken part in both personal therapy and group therapy as part of my training, which has deepened my understanding of the therapeutic process.

I work in a non‑judgemental, anti‑discriminatory way. My own personal development, combined with my professional skills and lived experience, enables me to work authentically and respectfully with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

As an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am bound by its code of ethics and subject to its complaints procedure.
